GO BRAVES!!

THIS IS CHIPPERS AUTOGRAPH!! Keep in mind, this is his last season!

The boys took a weekend trip down to Phoenix for a couple of Braves vs. D-Backs games! Look how much fun they had!!! And they got lots of autographs and pictures, so cool!

Bedspread

I have been working on this for like a year!
Every time I pull this project out of the box I get overwhelmed and put it away.
Since Jeff was gone all weekend I was dying to get it done and it took FOREVER! But, I am so happy because it is finally done, so now we can start decorating the  bedroom. I also realized that the reason my sewing machine always gives me fits, so woohoo, now that I got it all figured out (after 3 years!) I can sew all kinds of stuff!

Stephanie Nielson

This book is amazing! I would recommend it to anyone. This poor amazing lady really shows what it means to be a true mother, wife, sister, neighbor, and Latter-Day Saint. I am so happy to be reading it and can't wait for a friend to read it so we can talk about it! It makes you feel so grateful for family to read about someone elses trials! The book has had me reflecting a lot on the beauty of being a woman, the comfort of family and that we really can do anything we desire.

Made it through two weeks.

So this was the end of week two at my new job!
It was kind of a fluke that this opportunity came about. Working interviews lead to offers, but I was not in love with any offices yet. I kept taking resumes and this office was the building RIGHT NEXT to Jeff's work. So I saw it alot and stopped in twice two drop off a resume, both times their doors were locked. (They were out for lunch) So the third time I was like super annoyed about my bad timing and just shoved my resume under the locked door. WHO DOES THAT!? Totally weird, but it was the last copy of my resume and I was just ready to get rid of it I guess. But the next day they called me for a working interview and offered me a full time job. After working that full day for the interview I was not sure I would love the office. I have just worked for general dentists and did not know how I would be able to handle dealing with kids all day. (I am not the most patient gal in the world)
I had been working the other days that week at an office that I was really liking, and was really considering taking the position at the orthodontist office right next to the house. Every office had their pros and cons. I just could not decide. So when it came to Friday afternoon and the pediatric office was waiting for my call by one, I reluctantly called with the intension of delaying until Monday for an answer. I said,"I know you were hoping for me to start Monday, but I do already have an obligation that day. I would..."
-"OH PERFECT!!! That is ok, I will let the doctors know and we will see you Tuesday!" and dadadadada about all the details. I was kind of relieved because I was sure I would make the wrong choice...so Heavenly Father knowing this, forced the choice for me! THANK GOODNESS!
The first week was Spring Break, busy busy, and crazy crazy. Too crazy to be shown anything or be trained, too busy to breathe and too busy to complain. But man, I was definitely thinking I made the wrong choice. I hated going to work every day. But everything was so perfect about it! Jeff and I both work the exact same schedule, right next door to each other...car pooling every morning, lunch together, no late nights working, no weekends! AMAZING! Plus all the other benefits, it just did not make sense that I wasn't loving it! But I wasn't then and did not know what I was going to do. Week two started and I was like, "OK, if this doesn't make me happy, there is no reason I need to keep working here." And it was so great! All the girls are great, the patients are great and it all the things I was worried about seemed to work themselves into some weird positives! I am so happy about my job and love working with kids all day. It is so rewarding to comfort a little one who is scared! I love it! I am so grateful for what this experience has taught me. I know that if we show Heavenly Father that we are trying our hardest to be in the right place, he will definitely make it happen for us (and probably, most likely, not in the way we thought)!
We are so grateful also for Jeff's incredible job that brought us out here! He is LOVING it! A post will be coming all about it :)

New State, new state of mind.

Ok! So it has been a super long time since we have blogged...mostly because we can't keep up with all this change!
So lets start with the story of how we got where we are now.

One day toward the end of February we decided it was time to take a step of faith. To us then the step of faith felt like a move, as we considered our options Phoenix seemed like the best route. Jeff had been networking with a firm out there, which did not have an immediate opening, but we figured it would be worth it to get out there and show Heavenly Father that we are willing to be faithful and be wherever he needs us. So then as we started actually putting a plan in order, things were coming into place quickly. In one night of applying for jobs and sending out resumes online I had interviews set up in the Phoenix area. Jeff quit his job at Wells Fargo and we headed out for interviews, and to start looking for a house. The plan was to have at least one of us starting our new job March 19th. That would give my work three weeks notice and give us time to move. Well, the interviews went super great! Got to work for some really great dental offices for a few days and had multiple job offers. This made me think for sure Phoenix was the place for us, Jeff wasn't as sure as I was.
While we were out there it was nice to spend some time with the family, and we had a really good experience with my sister.  It was nice to be close and get to be supportive of change for the better. It later came to our attention that this was the real reason we felt so strongly about Phoenix, it was to get us out there. Not get us out there to live, but to be in the right place at the right time to help someone who needed it. It worked out perfectly in a million little ways and turned out to be such a wonderful blessing and experience for us.
So on our extended trip to Phoenix Jeff received calls from two public relations firms to set up interviews. The first on was in Salt Lake, the other Vegas. I said, "Don't even call the Vegas one back. We are NOT going to Vegas. That is the last place in the world I would ever want to live. Anywhere, anywhere but Vegas. Call Salt Lake."
So Jeff called, both of them. Had interviews with both of them. AND guess where we are! HAHA.
The last place in the world I wanted to be, was the one place Heavenly Father needed us. Way to put a foot in my mouth, right!? SO... the opportunity with the Vegas firm really seemed like the best career choice, but now that we're here we know it was the best choice in a lot of ways.
The job is actually not really in Vegas, but in HENDERSON! I almost never actually say "Vegas" because I still have a bitter taste in my mouth about that place ;)
From day 1 we have loved it here. Everything keeps falling into place for us and we are super excited that it has worked out for us.

More posts to come on what we are up to.
